Inspiration for me comes in many different ways. Lately I have been inspired by the music I listen to. While sewing I listen to Pandora on a Billie Holiday station that gets me in a rather chipper mood, dancing while I sew, living a life of the past with red lipstick, amazing hats, cute bobs, pin curls, and sexy black dresses. I imagine myself sewing away with some dapper hairpiece, big red lips, and a draped apron over a perfectly fitting white sundress with heels.
Can't you just feel it?
Anyway, these designs (and more to be photographed later) are based on these emotions and feelings of a time where people took pleasure in simple things that made life grand.
Keep in mind that Mom, Baby, and even Puppy can look dapper and sweet in 2009! Stay tuned for more photos!
