So I'm here to tell the world.
"It takes a village to raise a child."
No truer words have ever been spoken about rearing children. I can't think of one single person on this planet that has single handedly raised a tiny human by themselves. It takes a community of family and friends and grandmothers and aunts and many others to help bring up children.
I know in my short time of being a mother, I have been SO incredibly grateful to have a supportive network of people around me. These people include (but are not limited to), the grandparents who help us out when we need a date night, all the people who spoil our girls with gifts of clothes and toys, our family who spends time with us and loves our girls so much, friends we can text and ask questions about potty training or green poop or temper tantrums, friends near and far who pray for us and for our girls, the tiny school we frequent, the tiny school parents, and so many other people.
Here's my point: my mom did not raise us single handedly. She didn't have to. Like me, she also had a strong community of family and friends who stepped in when she needed them to. And praise God! For no one single person can take on this hard and scary job of being a parent alone! Not my mom. Not me. Not anyone.
Our mother did a fabulous job and I would never trade or change my childhood. Not even for a second. Preeeeeeetty sure Steph would agree with me!
Momma, we got yo back!!
:)
