Our Weekend

Most weekends are pretty uneventful for our little family, but weekends when daddy is off are THE BEST! It's a full Friday, Saturday, and Sunday alllll with dad! Which is spectacular for Charley (and me as well...as I get help with the kidlet!)

Friday we tried our best to do some Christmas shopping, but didn't get very far as Charbear started running fever at lunch. She was still playful, and took a nice, long nap while me and Momma Val hit up Hobby Lobby so I could make her a Christmas wreath. Kind of turning into a very fun (and expensive...eeek!) hobby! (See below  for the finished product!)

Then after I got home, Jojo got Christmas decorations out of the attic. (Early, I know. But I want everything set and ready before baby Liza gets here!)

We didn't get the whole tree decorated, just up and ready for decorations for the next day (I got tired). Charley especially loves the lights, which she pronounces "liii-te" with a sort of Texas drawl :)

Saturday was spent around the house since Char ran fever all.day.long. Poor baby! No other symptoms, just low-grade fever-teething perhaps? She and daddy played a lot! 

Sunday was a relaxing day. Daddy went hunting and me and Char spent the morning playing and watching Mickey. Despite her waking up in the middle of the night still feverish and having fever when she woke up, she was still a happy baby. Throughout the day she would tap me on the back and ask me, "okay momma?". I guess she had heard me ask her so often she wanted to check in on me too :) melt.me...

She specifically asked for a "pasa" or paci and I gave in because 1) she never asks for this unless it's nap or bedtime, and 2) she didn't feel well. We ate lunch with family then spent the afternoon at Memer Val and Papaw's house. She had a surprise to open when we got there...a dress up set. (Spoiled much!?)

It was hilarious to watch her walk in her "high heels" and of course now she's even more obsessed with shoes. We all got in good naps, then I woke up feeling gross (over-eating while 9 months pregnant will do that to you!). We played outside and just hung out then headed back home.

It was a great weekend spent with family and sweet sweet Jojie! He really makes our girls world go round and he's pretty excited to be daddy to another little girl before long.
